Welcome! I am a nerd who thrives on data. I have over ten years of experience collecting, analyzing and presenting data. Some of my previous projects include surveying community assessment, parenting practices and politics, partisan news media, alternative measures of poverty, and university assessment and student learning.

I firmly believe that data should drive stories that are accessible to multiple audiences. This means analysis is only the first step. How the findings are presented–in clear prose, intuitive data visualizations, or engaging presentations–is just as important as rigorous data analysis.

I hold a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Virginia. My dissertation focused on politics and parenting.

Outside of work I enjoy live theatre, good beer, and planning trips to visit all 50 states (only 9 more to  go).
